
Erasmia police are investigating the murder of a farmworker.
The worker was shot and killed on a farm outside Erasmia on Monday morning.
The shooting happened in the early morning hours, according to Erasmia police spokesperson Constable Tumisang Moloto.
Moloto said the man, in his early thirties, sustained gunshot wounds to his upper body.
“The man was in his room when he was shot through the door, which was closed,” he said.
“The two men who shot him and then fled the scene.”
The man succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead on the scene.
“Anyone with more information is urged to contact the Erasmia police station or crime stop on 08600-10111.”
