Four people were arrested in Centurion for being in possession of equipment used for vehicle break-ins.
The arrest was made in Rabie Street on Thursday afternoon, said Lyttelton police spokesperson Captain Dave Miller.
“The suspects were spotted by police officers driving in the Lyttelton area. Once they began to follow them, the suspects began to speed up and a high-speed pursuit began,” he said.

Miller said the suspects were eventually stopped by the team and upon searching the vehicle an “extensive array” of equipment used to steal motor vehicles was discovered.
He said the arrested suspects will appear in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court soon on charges relating to possession of car break-in implements.
“We would like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of our members who are ensuring that the criminal elements are taken off our streets,” he said.
“The Lyttelton police station crime prevention team have once again made a breakthrough in the ongoing fight against crime.”
