Three pedestrians knocked down in north

Three were hurt in two separate incidents on the same evening.

Three pedestrians were injured in two separate incidents in the north of Pretoria on Saturday evening.

The first incident took place in the early evening in Montana on Sefako Makgatho Drive near Breedt Street.

“Paramedics found an adult male patient who sustained serious injuries, which included multiple fractures,” said Medi-Edge First Responders in a statement.

“The patient was stabilised on the scene and transported by a local ambulance service to a nearby hospital for further care.”

Medi-Edge said the driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries and was taken by another ambulance to hospital.

In a separate incident, two men were hit by a car on the corner of Lavender Road and the Wonderboom Junction Shopping Mall entrance later that evening.

Medi-Edge First Responders said paramedics responded to the accident around 21:30.

“One of the patients sustained moderate injuries and the other sustained minor injuries.”

“Both patients were transported by a local ambulance service to a nearby hospital for further treatment.”

Police are investigating both incidents.
