NEWSFLASH: Two dead and many injured in Centurion crash
The R55 in both directions have been closed. Motorists should avoid the area.
The R55-highway has been closed following an accident involving three vehicles.
The accident happened on the corner of Wierda Road and the R55 on Friday afternoon, said Tshwane emergency services spokesperson Charles Mabaso.
Mabaso said two people was confirmed dead on the scene, while one was in a critical condition and two others were seriously injured.

“The man who is in a critical condition are still being treated by paramedics on the scene and will be airlifted,” he said.
“The two seriously injured patients have been transported to Midstream hospital.”
Two light vehicles and a truck were involved in the crash.

It was still unclear what exactly caused the accident.
He said the R55 were closed in both directions. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes.
