Central lit by matriculant cheers

Matrics celebrated as they received their results!

Learners at Hoërskool Langenhoven in Pretoria were filled with cheer on Wednesday, as matric results were released.

Two matriculants shared the following over their recent journey.

“I am pleased with the work that I put last year, however, I could have worked a little harder as I was close in receiving a distinction in a few subjects,” Sakhile Mathebula said.

He was planning to study IT at the University of Pretoria.

“After completing IT, I am going to study sports management as I want to fulfil my dream in working in the sports industry.”

Mathebula said IT was a backup plan in case sport management did not pan out.

Mathebula said the matric year 2019, was a very difficult year to keep control of.

“There was a lot of ups and downs. Some terms were worse than others, however, I had fun and here I am victorious.”

Thapelo Kgwahla said the matric year was tough for him.

“The whole year was tough and it seemed like an unending roller coaster.”

Kgwahla said, however, remaining consistent was what saw him through the year.

His plan for this year was to study BComm accounting at any university that accepted him that he applied to.

“I am still waiting for responses from universities and I must admit that I’m anxious.”

Kgwahla said in the next five years, he wanted to see himself closer to more achievements in life and success.

“I will probably further my studies and try to make money.”
