Man seriously injured after alleged assault in Centurion
“The man was assaulted with a bottle so had blunt force trauma injuries to the head.”
One person sustained serious injuries after allegedly being assaulted with a beer bottle in Centurion on Saturday morning.
According to CERT-SA’s spokesperson, Ruan Heyns, the alleged assault took place at a residential complex in Centurion CBD.
“The man was assaulted with a bottle so had blunt force trauma injuries to the head.”
He said the man was stabilised on the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital.
“The police attended to the scene and opened an investigation into the exact circumstances surrounding the incident,” Heyns said.
He thanked ER24 EMS (Pty) Ltd., Copwatch and the police for the assistance on the scene.
