Atteridgeville police nab suspected dagga dealer, ‘huge consignment’

"The estimated street value of the drugs is estimated at about R150 000."

Atteridgeville police made a major drug bust on Thursday morning after they received a tip-off of a large dagga consignment which had just been delivered to a local suspected dealer.

“Following the tip-off, officers visited the address in extension 18, west of Atteridgeville, where they discovered large bags filled with dagga,” said police spokesperson Mapula Rikhotso.

“Police arrested the 32-year-old man found in possession of the dagga.”

“The estimated street value of the drugs is estimated at about R150 000.”

The man is expected to appear in the Atteridgeville magistrate’s court soon.
