Pretoria clinic temporarily closed after members test positive
The clinic would re-open for business on Monday.
The FF Ribeiro clinic at the Sammy Marks square shopping complex in Pretoria CBD will be temporarily closed from Thursday.
This comes after two staff members tested positive for Covid-19, Tshwane metro said.
The results are the outcome of a robust screening and testing programme, said metro spokesperson Selby Bokaba.
He said the clinic would re-open for business on Monday.

“According to the daily screening records, both staff members were asymptomatic.
“All our health facilities routinely conduct daily screenings and sanitisation before people enter the building, as part of the Covid-19 prevention strategy.
“The staff members wore appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) daily,” he said.
Bokaba said the infected staff members were trained on the correct utilisation of PPE and on the disease itself.
“The exterior of the city’s clinics is sanitised daily. The affected clinic will be disinfected again on Thursday,” he said.
Bokaba said all the other patients were screened and the clinic was closed.
The patients will be referred to nearby clinics while the FF Ribeiro clinic remains closed.
“All contacts will be traced and managed as per the Department of Health guidelines.
“Counselling and support will also be provided to the affected staff members who have been sent to self-isolate as per our protocols,” Bokaba said.
