Sinoville police station closed after officer tests positive

The community will be informed when the station will be operational again. 

Sinoville police station is temporarily closed and undergoing decontamination after an officer at the station tested positive for Covid-19.

Police spokesperson Brigadier Mathapelo Peters said on Thursday that the community service centre would be operating from the detectives’ offices in the Sinoville centre on the first floor.

“The community is advised to call 10111 for all emergencies and complaints which need to be attended to by Sinoville police station.

The telephone lines at Sinoville police station’s community service centre will not be accessible for the duration of closure,” she said.

Peters said the building will undergo decontamination.

“The community will be informed when the station will be operational again.

“The SAPS management apologises for any inconvenience that may arise from this,” she said.
