Mabopane police station closed as member tests positive for Covid-19

The community will be informed when the station will be operational again.

Mabopane police station was temporarily closed for decontamination after an officer tested positive for Covid-19.

Police spokesperson Brigadier Mathapelo Peters said the community service centre will operate from the boardroom at the station during the decontamination period.

“The community is advised to call 10111 for all complaints and emergencies that must be attended to by Mabopane police station,” she said.

“The telephone lines at Mabopane SAPS community service centre will not be accessible for the duration of the closure.”

The community will be informed when the station will be operational again.

“The police management apologises for any inconvenience that may arise from this,” said Peters.

The visible policing commander can be contacted on 082-990-5067 and the relief commander on 082-373-9691.
