Montana accident claims motorbike delivery driver’s life

“Upon arrival, our volunteers found the body of the driver next to the road and promptly started with advanced life support resuscitation.”

A takeaway delivery motorbike driver died of his injuries after a collision with a vehicle in Montana in the north of Pretoria on Friday afternoon.

A statement from Medi-Edge paramedic volunteers, who attended the accident, said the incident happened in Veda Lane at around 16:20.

Reports from the scene indicated that the motorbike and a light motor vehicle collided.

“Upon arrival, our volunteers found the body of the driver next to the road and promptly started with advanced life support resuscitation. Despite all their efforts, the patient succumbed to his injuries,” Medi-Edge said.

Med-Edge said the man suffered from head and chest injuries.

Police are set to investigate as the exact cause of the accident is not known.
