Still no sign of missing Elarduspark helper
Patricia ‘Ayesha’ Katchokota left her place of residence in Elarduspark to go buy airtime at a nearby garage.
There was still no sign at the weekend, of the missing 37-year-old Pretoria east domestic worker who went missing on Wednesday.
Patricia “Ayesha” Katchokota was last seen leaving her place of residence in Elarduspark around 15:10, to go to a nearby Engen garage on Piering Road, near the intersection with Delmas Road.
Katchokota was believed to have told her husband she was quickly going buy to airtime to call her mother, leaving her cellphone behind.
“Her mom and children never heard from her since she went missing. They are used to her calling them every single day,” said her employer Amalia van Jaarsveld.
“We are really worried about her safety.”
Van Jaarsveld said various searches by the family and friends have been unsuccessful and there was no sign that the woman had reached the garage shop.
She appealed to members of the community to keep an eye out for Katchokota.
Police spokesperson Captain Koba Brits said a missing person’s file has been opened and the necessary documents have been completed.
“An investigating officer was assigned to the case,” she said.
