Nellmapius woman writes inspirational book
“The stories in my book, though fictional - are based on the challenges we experience in our everyday lives."
A young woman from Nellmapius who took seven years to write a book, says it was worth it. Kamogelo Masoga (22) said writing Chasing the Dream – a collection of 10 short stories – was aimed at inspiring people to continue chasing their dreams.
“I believe after reading this book people will be inspired to continue chasing their dreams and not give up,” said Masoga. Her passion to write a book started at a tender age while she was in high school.

“The stories are motivated by the challenges we experience in our everyday lives and the essays I used to write in high school made me realise that I’m actually a talented writer, they motivated me to write more,” said Masoga.
“The stories in my book, though fictional – are based on the challenges we experience in our everyday lives. My message with this book is to teach readers and motivate them,” she said.
“The book is for all ages – young and old. It shares with them some of the things they have never experienced in their lives and is also entertaining,” she said.
“My message to young writers out there is that if you believe you are a talented writer and passionate about writing, read as much as you can, write as much as possible, start with something small and most importantly, start writing now.”
The book was supposed to be launched around March but due to the lockdown the launch was cancelled and she continued to sell the book on social media platforms.
