Waste collection days pushed back

Waste collection in the Tshwane area will be done a day later as previously scheduled, the metro advised on Wednesday.
The rescheduled dates for normal waste collection services, as stipulated by the metro, were expected to take place as follows:
Collection for 15 October would take place on 16 October while waste for 16 October would be collected on 17 October.
Waste collection dates which were expected to take place earlier this week were also pushed back by a day.
Collection for 14 October was pushed back to Thursday, 15 October, while collection for 13 October will now only happen on 14 October and collection for 12 October will be on 13 October.

“Residents are advised to ensure that waste bins are taken out as per the stipulated collection dates for the areas,” metro spokesperson Selby Bokaba said.
He advised residents to wash their hands with soap and water or use hand sanitizer after they handled the waste bins.
“The city wishes to apologise to its customers for any inconvenience caused.”
