Police searching for north post office robbers

“The officer was disarmed and assaulted by the suspects.”

Police are searching for four suspects who allegedly made off with an undisclosed amount of cash after robbing a post office at a shopping centre in Soshanguve.

Police spokesperson Brenda Moridili said a police officer and a CPF member were at the post office for Covid-19 regulations compliance inspection when the attack happened.

“The officer was disarmed and assaulted by the suspects. He was taken to hospital for medical attention.”

Moridili said the suspects fled the scene using a marked police vehicle which was later recovered in Soutpan Road, Soshanguve.

She could, however, not confirm how much was taken by the alleged criminals.
