Tshwane Covid-19 cases decline despite 100 000 mark

There has been fewer new cases reported since last week Friday.

The health department confirmed on Tuesday that Tshwane has recorded 101 001 Covid cases so far.

On Monday, 475 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Tshwane, which was a decline from the 1 300 new cases reported last Wednesday.

The number of deaths stand at 2 327. There has been over 92 000 recoveries so far.

Here is the breakdown per area:

– Ga-Rankuwa, Mabopane, Winterveldt, Soshanguve, Rosslyn, Karenpark, Wonderboom, Akasia, Nina Park, Orchards, Amandasig, Theresa Park and Pretoria North have recorded 162 new cases and 627 deaths.

– Hammanskraal, Temba, Suurman, Dilopye, Stinkwater, Ramotse, New Eersterus, Kameeldrift, Pyramid/Rooiwal, Doornpoort, Kekana Gardens, Kekanastad, Marokolong, Randstown and Kanana have recorded 53 new cases and 317 deaths.

– Atteridgeville, Laudium, Pretoria CBD, Hercules, Danville, Saulsville, Lotus Gardens and Pretoria West have 85 new cases and 657 deaths.

– Lyttelton, Eldoraigne, Waterkloof, Olievenhoutbosch, Rooihuiskraal, Silverton, Centurion, Brooklyn and Hatfield reported 69 new cases and 159 deaths.

– East Lynne, Rayton, Cullinan, Dewagensdrift, Refilwe and Silverton reported 18 new cases and 33 deaths.

– Ekangala, Sokhulumi, Dark City, Zithobeni, Bronkhorstspruit, Kanana and Rethabiseng reported 29 new cases and 57 deaths.

– Eersterust, Lethabong, Mamelodi, Silverlakes, Garsfontein, Lynnwood, Queenswood, Wilgers, Waltloo, Equestria, Mooikloof and Brummeria reported 57 new cases and 477 deaths.
