Lions Club Centurion to plough back into community with golf day fundraiser

Get involved with the Lions Club Centurions charity fundraiser on 31 March.

Lions Club Centurion member Dale Hayes and the Zwartkop Country Club will be hosting a charity fundraiser on 31 March to raise funds for community projects in Centurion.

“Proceeds from the golf day will be used by our club to initiate and fund much-needed community projects in the area like helping less fortunate people,” said Lions Club president Rob Fowler.

“Or giving a worthy initiative some financial support that we are working with,”

The Lions golf day will include an evening dinner with MC Dale Hayes and promises to be a really fun golfing event in support of many worthwhile community service projects.

“We are quite busy at the present time with eyesight awareness through our Lions Bright Sight programme, animal welfare at the Pretoria Dog Rescue centre in Valhalla, Weskusplek and Club 21 will be supported with the funds we raise.”

The Lions also assist with food hampers to the homeless and the recycling of goods, used clothing and household items.

“One area of focus for us is also the environmental management efforts and awareness at the Bishop Bird Park in Rooihuiskraal. We strive to support them as well.”

Any golfers or businesses that would like to play or get involved with any aspect of the golf day are encouraged to contact Louise on 082-850-9198 or email louise.coetzee@telkomsa.net for an entry form for further details.
