Seven injured after bakkie overturns in the north

One of them sustained critical injuries and had to be airlifted to hospital.

Seven people were injured when a bakkie they were travelling in overturned on the N4, north of Pretoria, on Tuesday morning.

This happened on the N4 near the Soutpan Road offramp in the Wonderboom area around 07:00, said Ambu-Link spokesperson Xander Loubser.

“On arrival, medics found that seven people were injured after a construction vehicle overturned. One of them sustained critical injuries and had to be airlifted to hospital,” he said.

“The other six suffered moderate injuries and were treated on scene before they were transported to various hospitals.”

Loubser said the cause of the accident remains unclear and subjective to police investigation.
