Two arrested in Eersterust for dealing in drugs
Residents lodged complaints with the police after the man was seen selling drugs in a residence in Eersterust.
Police in Eersterust arrested a 23-year-old man who was found in possession of drugs and devices suspected to be used for car jamming on Monday, June 6.
Police received information from a reliable source about a young man selling drugs at a house on Moses Close, according to police spokesperson Sergeant Sam Shibambo.
He said when police arrived at the house, the man attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended and arrested.

“While police were searching his premises, they found 29 packets of drugs suspected to be CAT and 40 Mandrax pills.
“We also found 16 channel jamming devices suspected to be used during the theft or hijacking of cars and two scales suspected to be used to weigh drugs,” he said.
In a separate incident, police arrested a 32-year-old man on Kochia Road for the possession and dealing in drugs.
This came after police received several complaints from residents of the man selling drugs.

Shibambo said the suspect was also found in possession of Mandrax and a considerable amount of cash.
“We arrested him for dealing and being in possession of drugs.”
Shibambo said the suspects will appear before the Hatfield magistrate’s court soon.
