Possible rain and thunderstorms going into the weekend

On Saturday, there’s a slight chance of rain early in the morning and rain showers going into the evening.

Thursday’s weather remains partly cloudy with a minimum of 14ºC to 29ºC maximum in Pretoria, according to the South African Weather Service (SAWS).

On Friday the conditions are expected to be cloudy with a 0% chance of rain.

However, on Saturday there’s a slight chance of rain early in the morning and rain showers going into the evening.

Saturday’s minimum temperature is expected to be at 15ºC to the maximum of 25ºC with a rain amount of 10mm, with a probability of 60% rainfall in the evening.

On Sunday morning, there is expected to be partly cloudy conditions, with a bit of shower and thundershowers in the evening, with a rain probability of 30%.

The sunrise is expected to be at 06:13 while the sunset is expected to be around 18:11.

SAWS spokesperson Moleboheng Manthata said there would be some thunderstorms early on Saturday afternoon, which will clear later the next day.

“We are expecting thunderstorms on Saturday afternoon which will clear early on Sunday morning, and later in the evening there will be showers and thunderstorms,” Manthata said.
