A man left critical following an N1 accident near Garsfontein
“Emer-G-Med paramedics worked fervently to stabilize him before he was taken to a nearby hospital for further care.”

A motorist was left critical during a crash on the N1 near Garsfontein Road.
According to Emer-G-Med spokesperson Kyle van Reenen, the accident took place in the early hours of Monday morning.
“Emer-G-Med paramedics worked fervently to stabilize him before he was taken to a nearby hospital for further care,” the statement read.
Van Reenen could not say what the cause of the accident was.
Attempts to contact Garsfontein police spokesperson warrant officer Michael Nel went straight to voicemail.
The Garsfontein Road has been known to be notorious for these accidents.
Two weeks ago a man succumbed to his injuries while one was transported to Steve Biko academic hospital.
SVTA-LifeMed spokesperson Dean Slater could also not confirm at the time how the accident happened.
“While the cause of the accident is unclear at this stage, it appears the vehicle rolled.”
