Eskom rolls out stage 4 load-shedding

“We plead with the public to switch off non-essential appliances to reduce the demand.”

The power utility Eskom implemented stage 4 load-shedding on Monday afternoon.

Spokesperson Daphney Mokoena said the implementation of stage 4 was due to high demand and a slight reduction in generation capacity.

“Stage 4 load-shedding will be implemented from 13:00 today until 05:00 on Tuesday. Eskom will publish an update shortly. We plead with the public to switch off non-essential appliances to reduce demand,” Mokoena said.
