R8 000 reward for missing north dog
“I have had her since she was a few weeks old and I am all she has ever known.”

A Theresa Park family in the north of Pretoria are offering an R8 000 reward for the safe return of their four-year-old dog Miemie.
Miemie went missing from her home on Rhebuck Crescent on May 18.
She is white and has a brown M-shape on her back.
She is a short-legged Jack Russell breed.
Her owner Zania du Randt said she was not home the day Miemie went missing.
“I leave her in my fiance’s care often. But she never liked it when I had to go somewhere, so she would often escape and go looking for me.
“Unfortunately, on that day, she went out looking for me, but I think she couldn’t find her way back home.”
Du Randt said her fiancé searched everywhere, hoping to get the dog back, and he immediately notified her that Miemie was missing.
“I was in Rustenburg that day for a funeral, and I had to rush back and join the search party as well,” she said.
Du Randt and her fiancé, Rianco van Tonder, pleaded with the community to help them find Miemie, as she was an important part of their family.
“Rianco has been funding the search for her as he was also worried sick,” said Du Randt.

Miemie is sterilised, but she’s not microchipped.
Du Randt said life hadn’t been the same without her dog.
“I have had her since she was a few weeks old and I am all she has ever known.”
She said she’s worried about her safety because it is winter and it is extremely cold.
“My life has been turned upside down because she means the world to me,” she told Rekord.
Du Randt added that she has been searching for her every day since she went missing.
“My heart is completely broken.
“I just need to find her.”
They said that they wouldn’t give up on the search until they found the dog.
“This has taken such a toll on both of us,” she said.
Anyone with information that might help get Miemie back can contact Zania du Randt on 083 315 0559.
