Two injured in N1 crash
A woman was seriously injured and a man was moderately injured when a truck collided with a stationary vehicle on the N1 near the Old Johannesburg Road on Monday.

Two people were injured in a serious accident on the N1 southbound near the Old Johannesburg road off-ramp on Monday morning.
A woman was seriously injured and a man was moderately injured when a truck collided with a stationary vehicle next to the road just after 10:00 on Monday.
Emer-G-Med spokesperson Kyle van Reenen said that the truck collided with the vehicle before smashing into a concrete barrier.
“The woman was entrapped in the wreckage of the truck,” said Van Reenen
“The man, who is believed to have been the driver, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to hospital for further care.”
Tshwane emergency services spokesperson Deputy-chief Charles Mabaso said that his department received a call at approximately 10:35 on Monday.
He said that multiple emergency response services were on the scene.
Tshwane firefighters and the Gauteng EMS’s special operations response team assisted in stabilising the woman and extricating her from the vehicle.
The patients were transported to hospital for further care.
