Tshwane female officials acknowledged for hard work

Tshwane is celebrating the remarkable contributions of female officials on National Women’s Day.
Tshwane MMC for community safety, Grandi Theunissen said the metro was celebrating the officials’ achievements and highlighted the importance of gender diversity within its community safety forces.
He said they want to use this National Women’s Day to acknowledge and appreciate the important role that female officials within the Tshwane metro police and emergency services play.
Tshwane metro female officers and emergency services female officials operate within difficult environments that require uniquely brave and strong individuals to succeed.
“Their dedication to ensuring the safety and well-being of our community is truly commendable,” said Theunissen.
He said the National Women’s Day serves as a powerful reminder of the remarkable contributions made by women in every facet of society and female officers stand as shining examples of this dedication.

“It is with great pride that we recognise their unwavering commitment to upholding law and order, providing critical assistance during emergencies and demonstrating exceptional leadership that inspires their colleagues and the entire community,” he said.
In the face of many challenges, our female officials have consistently demonstrated a remarkable blend of compassion and resilience.
“They have not only embraced their roles as guardians of public safety but have also extended their reach to become positive role models for young women who aspire to make a difference in their communities,” he added.
“These individuals have shattered stereotypes, proving that courage knows no gender and that their presence within the metro police and emergency services enriches our capabilities and effectiveness.”
He said by fostering an inclusive environment that values and empowers every member of the team, regardless of gender, “we enhance our ability to understand and address the diverse needs of our communities”.
“Our commitment to nurturing the talents and potential of our female officials extends beyond today’s celebration.
“We are providing ongoing support, training and growth opportunities, ensuring that their voices continue to shape the future of community safety in Tshwane.”
