Rietvlei Nature Reserve: Revised temporary opening times

The City of Tshwane ask residents to take note of the revised opening times for operations at the Rietvlei Nature Reserve. 

Residents should take note of the revised opening times for operations at the Rietvlei Nature Reserve. 

According to City of Tshwane spokesperson Lindela Mashigo, the revised times, which are temporary, are effective from Wednesday, 8 May until Friday, 31 August 2024. 

“The City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality would like to inform its residents and visitors about the revised opening times for operations at the Rietvlei Nature Reserve.” 

He said these revised times are applicable to all activities, such as morning drives, hikes and access to the coffee shop.

“The reserve will during this period open at 11h00 on Mondays and Wednesdays due to game management activities.” 

This means normal gate times (06h00 until 18h00) will be applicable on all other days, including weekends and public holidays. 

“The City of Tshwane apologises profusely for the inconvenience that may arise as a result of the revised times.”
