Rugby match at Loftus Versveld Stadium results in road closure

The streets will be closed from 09:00 until 21:00

Tshwane Metro Police (TMPD) has advised motorists to stay clear of several routes on Saturday, July 27, due to a rugby match at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium.

The road law enforcement agency said the streets will be affected due to a Carling Currie Cup game between Vodacom Bulls and DHL Western Province at 17:15.

Spokesperson Rebone Malope said several streets around the stadium will be closed from 09:00 until 21:00.

The following streets will be closed.

* Kirkness Street and Loftus Park gate
* Bond and Farenden Street
* Kirkness and Park Street
* Kirkness and Lynwood Street

Motorists are advised to avoid and use alternative routes such as:

* Francis Baard Street
* Pretorius Street
* Stanza Bopape Street
* Justice Mahomed Street
* Florence Ribeiro Avenue
* Middel Street
* Jan Shoba Street
* Leyds Street

Malope said the TMPD and police officers will be deployed to monitor all affected streets.
