An elderly woman escaped from a Centurion house engulfed in flames earlier this week. Here is more information.
Paramedics said an elderly woman escaped from a Centurion house engulfed in flames.
According to Cert-SA the incident happened on Wednesday afternoon.
“On Wednesday afternoon, our Centurion crew responded to reports of a house fire in Mnandi on the outskirts of Centurion. An elderly woman who lives alone on a smallholding awoke from her afternoon nap to find her home engulfed in flames.
“Miraculously, she was able to escape without severe injuries or burns, sustaining only moderate smoke inhalation and singed hair.”

It furthermore said that, unfortunately, the house was completely destroyed by the blaze.
“The cause of the fire remains unclear, and fire investigators will be conducting a thorough investigation.”
The elderly woman was transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition by Emer-G-Med.
“We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Olievenhoutbosch CPF patrollers, Tshwane Emergency Services Department , and Emer-G-Med (Pty) Ltd for their invaluable assistance on the scene.”
