Police need help to find three missing people
The three, two men and a woman, went missing on different dates.
Police are pleading with the public to assist in the search for three Mamelodi residents missing since March.
Spokesperson Constable Penelope Khulong said two men and a woman disappeared on different dates.
William Lucky Matomela (35) of Mamelodi East Ext. 20 was reported missing by his father on February 15.
He said his son and an unknown friend left without indicating where they were going.
Khulong said Matomela was wearing a white golf T-shirt, a white cap with “DJ Fistos” written on it and blue jeans.
The family searched almost everywhere for their son, with no fruitful outcome.
Khulong said Noleleni Cassandra Phiri (26) of Mamelodi East Ext. 7 disappeared on March 25, and are still nowhere to be found.
She was reported missing by her cousin.
According to the information they received from the cousin, Noleleni who had visited her home with other family members, left to withdraw money from an ATM and never returned.
“Her mother then called her and she indicated that she was in Nellmapius and would be back,” said Khulong.
But when she was called again, she did not answer her phone.
She was last active on her social media platforms on March 27.
The victim could not be found anywhere and the family also made contact with the victim’s partner who indicated that he did not know her whereabouts.
Noleleni was last seen wearing a pink vest, black leggings and nude sandals.
Peter Mbele (53) of Mamelodi East Ext. 7 disappeared on March 25 and was also reported missing by his cousin.
The cousin said Mbele indicated that he would be going to work in Ga-Rankuwa on March 26.
When she woke up on the day, he had already left and she assumed he had gone to work as he had indicated.
The complainant began to worry that night as he had not returned home.
She called him but his phone was off.
When she contacted his workplace, the complainant was told that he had not been to work that week.
It is unknown what he wore when he disappeared.
