New number for Pretoria Central police station

Residents should take note of the new landline, 012 353 5000/5001.

Residents are urged to take note of Pretoria Central Police Station telephone number changes.

The newly installed landlines are now operational and the public can directly call the station.

Last year, the public was provided with an alternative number to lodge complaints and to report any criminal activities.

The provided cellphone number, 079 880 0880, is still operating, but a new landline is to be utilised to directly call for police assistance.

Take note of the following landline number: 012 353 5000/5001, which is accessible 24/7.

Station commander, Brigadier Hlengani Gibin Mashaba, has thanked the public for their endured patience. He also said this will be a continuous effort by Pretoria Central SAPS to ensure it provides excellent service to the needs of the community.

“We want to ensure that we fight crime and continue to protect society by all means and also that victim empowerment remains at the forefront of the station’s mandate to serve and protect victims of gender-based violence (GBV). As a station, we are constantly preparing to serve and protect the public, attend to complaints on time and offer a service of high quality,” Mashaba said.

The community can still utilise emergency hotlines and report crime on 10111. If you know of any criminal activities or want to report a crime anonymously, you can contact Crime Stop on 08600 10111. The other alternative is dialling112 on any network provider.
