Animal rescue centre wants justice for abandoned pup

A passerby spotted the pup and could give a detailed description of the individual who left him behind.

The inspector at the Wetnose animal rescue centre is investigating a case of animal abandonment after an eight-month-old cross-breed was found between the Cullinan primary school and the courthouse.

A passerby spotted the pup and could give a detailed description of the individual who left him behind.

The passerby followed the vehicle, but was unable to keep up and lost sight of the car in the nearby township.

The pup, named Lovit, is recovering and receiving care from the rescue centre with the main objective being to find it a home.

If you would like to sponsor his kennel, please message the shelter on WhatsApp.

Wetnose was opened in 1999 as a registered non-profit organisation devoted to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of abandoned, abused and neglected animals.

They do not put animals to sleep unless they are suffering and it is in the best interest of those particular animals.

Instead, they love and care for every one of their animals until they find them a home – no matter how long it takes.

The organisation does not receive government support, but depends on the public’s generosity.

If you would like to support the shelter, contact the shelter at 012 932 3941.
