Man airlifted to hospital after fall from 8m scaffolding in Pretoria North

According to a paramedic the patient had a severe head injury and polytrauma.

A man is in a critical condition after falling from a scaffolding at Wonderboom A re yeng bus station construction site.

LifeMed and Netcare 911 responded to reports of a man critically injured after a hard fall in Pretoria North.

It is reported that the man fell from a 8m-high scaffolding.

LifeMed paramedic Dean Slater said the patient was airlifted to a Joburg hospital.

“The patient was seriously injured and suffered a severe head injury and polytrauma.

“I am not certain which hospital is receiving the patient, between Netcare Milpark or Netcare Alberton currently.”

Slater said the patient is critical.

“The patient requires immediate care and life-saving intervention. The medics had to stabilise him before he was airlifted,” Slater said.
