“Three uniformed groups, comprising two tactical teams and a roadblock group, were tasked to police the areas of Sinoville and Kameeldrift. The tactical groups inspected 11 liquor premises, with two of them being not compliant with the Liquor Act. Thousands of litres of liquor and two deep freezers were confiscated and will be destroyed upon finalisation of the case,” said Tshwane police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Johan van Dyk.

“One suspect found himself behind bars after he was found in possession of suspected stolen copper and could not give a reasonable explanation of how he got the copper,” said Van Dyk.

In total, police searched eight premises, 2 405 people and 277 vehicles.
