Bok fans unite to cheer on rugby team

Springbok supporters packed a pub in Montana to celebrate Siya Kolisi’s 100th test and a strong 32–17 win over France on Saturday night.

Hundreds of Springbok supporters gathered at the Jan Se Skuld pub and restaurant in Montana to watch the Boks vs France match on Saturday night.

The supporters flocked to the restaurant in the late afternoon to book seats for the rugby match, which kicked off at 22:00.

The Springboks managed to secure victory against France, winning 32-17, despite being forced to play with a 14-man squad, following a red card handed to Lood de Jager late in the first half.

The supporters were also celebrating Siya Kolisi’s 100th test.

Corrie Botha, owner of the restaurant, said that it is always a pleasure to host the Springbok supporters, adding that his restaurant creates an incredible atmosphere.

The pub brings Afrikaans music and a bit of our history to your table, with live music, karaoke, sports and weekly specials.

Ronel Olivier said, “I absolutely support the Springboks, and we know France wants revenge because we beat them previously. We are here to celebrate Siya’s Kholisi’s 100th test.”

Jeandre Botha said that it’s always fun to watch the rugby, and he knows the Springboks will win the World Cup.

After the game, the supporters continued to enjoy the evening together with food and drinks.

The next Springbok match will be against Italy on November 15.
