Mamelodi Sundowns have promised to take action against unruly fans.
Mamelodi Sundowns have promised to tackle “a small minority of its supporters” for misconduct after the team’s 3-2 win against Ajax Cape Town in Atteridgeville last Wednesday.
Mamelodi Sundowns said, in a statement this week, it was in the process of identifying the ‘unruly supporters’ who stormed the tunnel to the dressing room at the Lucas Moripe stadium demanding coach Pitso Mosimane leave the club.
Police had to be called in to protect Mosimane and the players.
The Brazilians did not take kindly to that action and have since vowed to bring those fans to book.
“Mamelodi Sundowns is disappointed with the improper behaviour by a small minority of its supporters, whose conduct and utterances relating to the head coach are unacceptable.
“Disciplinary action will be taken against those who may have violated the Mamelodi Sundowns supporters’ rules and regulations.
“The board and management of Mamelodi Sundowns are fully supportive of the head coach, Pitso Mosimane,” read the statement.
