Mamelodi Sundowns will look to tighten their grip on top spot when they face Bidvest Wits at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday.
The Brazilians are four points clear of nearest rivals Orlando Pirates.
On Sunday, Downs beat Baroka 2-1 at the old Peter Mokaba stadium thanks to goals from Wayne Arendse and Percy Tau after which coach Pitso Mosimane said he was always happy to grind out results.

The 53-year-old coach also praised the man of the match Sibusiso Vilakazi after his side pulled off their third win in a space of eight days having previously overcome Cape Town City and Chippa United..
“Vila didn’t have the biggest game but he was an important player for us. You can see his experience on the ball,” Mosimane told Supersport TV after the game.
Vilakazi said he was happy to contribute to Downs’ win.
“The most important thing is making a contribution to the team, and so far it has been great. Coming into the game we found it difficult after we conceded the goal at the corner, and we had to regroup in the game,” said the 29-year-old midfielder.
“We managed to level the score from a corner, and in the second half we were able to get that winning goal.”
In recent times, Sundowns have struggled against champions Wits.
