Sosh Movers through to semi-finals

Sosh movers under-13 through to semi-finals of the knockouts.

The under-13 Sosh Movers beat KCC Young Fighters 2-1 in the quarterfinals of Soshanguve cup knockout games at Giant Stadium on Saturday.

The semifinalists in all four divisions will compete for the cup and other prizes in the Mayor’s Cup tournament on 16 June.

Movers coach Billy Moliere said tournament-excitement nearly got his team, but was happy with the win.

“I managed to cool them down so that they focus and concentrate on the game,” said Molefe.

“We will work hard in the semifinals to go through to the finals and win. My wish is to lift the name of this club high.”

Movers captain Lehlogonolo Mgiba (13) said his team worked very hard and were determined to win.

“We knew that the game will not be easy but we prepared ourselves by practising very hard,” said Mgiba.

KCC coach Kagiso Khuduga said he was disappointed with the results, but proud of his team because “they did their best”.

“The reason we lost is that our players get tired easily and early. After the first half, they were already tired so we could not score the equaliser,” said Khuduga.

Captain Boitshoko Magoro (13) said he was disappointed his team were no longer in the running for the crown.

“I feel bad because we did not achieve our goal which was to win today’s game then proceed to the finals and bring the cup home,” said Magoro.
