Proteas extend lead

Proteas build their lead to 251 at lunch.

Eliot Mahlase

The Proteas added 79 this morning to their overnight score of 42 with Hashim Amla making a half-century and captain AB de Villiers another duck.

James Anderson started the morning on a high for England as he removed debutant Stephen Cook for 25.

De Villiers followed for his third duck in a row to leave the Proteas on 50/3.

But Amla and JP Duminy managed to reestablish the innings somewhat with a partnership of 51 before the later was removed by Ben Stokes on 29 just before lunch. Amla scored his half century.
