Kolonnade 3-in-1 road race continues to grow in popularity

The popular Budget Kolonnade 3-in-1 road race will be presented for the fourth time on Saturday.

The very popular Budget Kolonnade 3-in-1 road race will be presented this Saturday for the fourth consecutive year at the Kolonnade Shopping Centre in Montana.

This race soon became one of the most popular on the road race calendar in Pretoria after it was established by the progressive Overkruin Athletics club in 2015.

Runners have a choice between a 5km fun run, a 10km road race or a 21,1km half marathon with a scenic route through Montana Park, with the start and finish at Kolonnade Shopping Centre.

The route meanders through quiet streets of Montana Park, which makes the effect of traffic minimal.

The organizers consider the race as a community event with the schools in the area manning the water points. There is a competition for the best water point so this makes for a great atmosphere on the road.

The Kolonnade shopping centre offers lots of parking and restaurants for hungry runners looking for a post-race breakfast.

The 10km and 21,1km races will start at 06:00, while the 5km Fun Run starts at 06:15
