Kaleidoskoop

Kaleidoskoop is ‘n musiekgroep wat hul musiek uit ‘n positiewe, dog realistiese oogpunt komponeer. ‘n Broodnodige boodskap van hoop.

Met kleurryke harmonieë en vele, akoestiese instrumente onder andere banjo, trekklavier en ukulele, neem Kaleidoskoop ’n hele spektrum van musiekvorme aan.

Soos die suggestie in hulle naam weerspieël, laat Kaleidoskoop jou deur hul selfgeskrewe Afrikaanse musiek – asook verwerkte weergawes van gewilde Engelse liedjies van bekende kunstenaars – anders na die kleure van liefde, menswees en die lewe kyk, kom kyk saam met hulle deur die Kaleidoskoop!

Kaleidoskoop het in 2012 – met hul tweede album “Vars Uitgekerf” – die Tempo-toekenning gewen vir Beste Kontemporêre Album Hulle is ook benoem vir beste nuweling en beste kontemporêre album by die Ghoema’s in 2013. Vanjaar is hulle musiekvideo van Roadtrip benoem vir ‘n Ghoema vir beste musiekvideo.

Uit die baard van die boland is gebore ‘n ondier. Vier jong mans het besluit om liewer saam geraas te maak. Die resultaat was katastrofies. ‘n Harige blinkoog monster het wankelend oor die strate begin loop en saggies skree. Benags het hy in skaduwees en die donker hoeke van feeste en Straatbyeenkomste geremoer. Die musiek was regte Afrikaans en dus eerlik rou. Dit was nie te sag nie, en nie te hard nie. Dit was die hartklop van ‘n dier.

We’re going Racing! VWCSA Drag Day

Time to let loose some horsepower and crack some 1km top-end runs! Let’s not forget a few quarter mile heads up races!

All participants and spectators are urged to bring any of the following or whatever you have, in aid of the local orphanages in the area:

  • Tinned food
  • Blankets
  • Old toys
  • Food hampers

These will be presented to ODI to donate on our behalf. Entries will be capped to allow for more time on the strip for everyone! Strict queues will be maintained.
