Slip into something a shade darker, and enjoy it with Nu Metro in style…

Nu Metro Cinemas has confirmed that it will be screening Fifty Shades Darker – the sequel to the runaway box office hit Fifty Shades of Grey – at special pre-release screenings ahead of the film’s international release on Wednesday, 8 February and Thursday, 9 February 2017.

Nu Metro broke sales records and had attendance bursting at the seams, when it did similar screenings of the first film in this erotic drama-franchise two years ago.

Ticket sales for Nu Metro’s “ladies only” Girls’ Night Out (GNO) screenings of the movie on Tuesday, 7 February have already been sold out for most cinemas nationwide – two weeks before the event takes place.

Fifty Shades Darker follows a wounded Christian Grey, who tries to entice a cautious Ana Steele back into his life, but she demands a new arrangement before she will give him another chance. Her desire for Christian still dominates her every waking thought, and when he does propose a new arrangement, Anastasia cannot resist; they rekindle their searing sexual affair. As the two begin to build trust and find stability, shadowy figures from Christian’s past start to circle them, determined to destroy their hopes for a future together.

The film stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan in the two lead roles.

Sex symbol Kim Basinger returns to steam up the big screen, after she generated erotic heat with films such as 9½ weeks and other acclaimed box office hits in the late 1980s.

Rumour is that Basinger has been signed to also appear in the third Fifty Shades film.

Fans of the bestselling Fifty Shades novels have been waiting anxiously for the return of Grey to cinemas.

Fifty Shades Darker, which is based on the second EL James novel in the series, promises to expand the world of Fifty Shades with even more heated romance, intense drama and erotic adventures, set against luxurious backdrops.

The sneak pre-release screenings of Fifty Shades Darker willbe at all Nu Metro cineplexes nationwide and will be scheduled for all showtimes throughout each of the days.

Bookings are also open for Scene VIP cinemas at selected Nu Metro’s cineplexes.

Scene VIP is Nu Metro’s deluxe in-cinema dining option – apart from luxury recliner seating, lounges, bars (at selected cinemas) and enhanced upmarket facilities, a new a la carte Scene VIP food and cocktail menu was also recently launched.

The GNO-screenings of Fifty Shades Darker will take place at all Nu Metro Cinemas nationwide on 7 February. This event starts at 19:45, with the film screening at 20:45.

Apart from women being treated to the film ahead of general release, there are lots of extras to look forward to on the night as well.

Please note that access to GNO-screenings at Nu Metro’s cinemas is open to women only, but the sneak previews are open to all cinemagoers (pending relevant age restriction for the film).

No complimentary, loyalty or any other form of discounted offers will be valid for any of the Fifty Shades Darker pre-release screenings.
