Polokwane moms give younger mothers parenting advice

From working hard to not comparing yourself to others, women in Polokwane advise other mothers on how to better parent their children this Mother's Day.

POLOKWANE – Mother’s Day serves as a touching reminder of the immeasurable value of a mother’s love and the profound impact it has on our lives.

We celebrate the essence of motherhood and pay tribute to the remarkable mothers who have dedicated their lives in raising their children with love and care.

The Polokwane Observer asked mothers to advise young moms on how to be better parents to their kids.

Johanna Nkwana: Don’t compare yourself to other moms. Do what is best for you and your children. Before anything, always remember how it would affect your children. Work hard to live a better life.
Anandi Duvenhage: Follow your heart, go with your own gut as it is your child and no one can tell you how to raise your own child. It is good to do what is best for your child and avoid negative comments out there.
Paulinah Bapela: Avoid the pleasure of the world, study and find a stable job so that you can take care of your children. The only thing you should focus on is having a bright future for yourself and your children regardless of how hard it is.
Jostina Seemenya: Work hard for your children and build a good future for their them. Do not be afraid of asking for help when needed, whether it’s from family members or friends.
Evelyn Ngoetjana: Always have a positive mindset. Your first priority is your children. Never depend on a man because you won’t go anywhere.
Johanna Sebola: Focus on your future, take care of your children and then focus on worldy things once you’ve sorted your life out.
