[IN PICTURES] Polokwane hosts S.A. Schools Aquatics Championship

The national schools championship aquatics event is held in the city from 10 to 13 April.

POLOKWANE – The best swimmers in eight of the nine provinces made their way to the Polokwane swimming pool to show off their talent. Daily the swimmers competed in a variety of items that included butterfly, breaststroke, backstroke and freestyle.

Sport and Recreation South Africa in partnership with Department of Basic Education, and Swimming South Africa, annually hold the S.A. Schools Aquatics Championship in and this year Limpopo Province was the chosen destination.

The championship is the culmination of intra- and inter-school, district and provincial eliminations.

The event is attended by 1 000 able-bodied and disabled athletes.
