Nictus gives a generous donation

Nictus Furnishers donated a table, six chairs and a four-plate electric stove to Phutanang Bahlaloga Drop-in Centre

AS A way of giving back to the community, Nictus Furnishers donated a table, six chairs and a four-plate electric stove to Phutanang Bahlaloga Drop-in Centre in Moletjie Ga-Manamela, Matshwane last Saturday.

The process of the donation started in June when Phutanang Bahlaloga officials requested Nictus to assist them in caring for vulnerable children and orphans. In August Nictus signed an agreement with the centre and chose October 5 as the best day for donation. “We are very happy about the donation and we hope that Nictus won’t stop helping other drop-in centres. The donation means a lot to our children and we promise to take care of the resources so that they can last for a long time,” Betty Meso, centre coordinator said.

She further thanked Nictus officials for the entertainment and motivational talks for the children.

Sarah Manamela, the centre manager, appealed to everyone to help the community in any way they could to build a better society. “Our children are happy with the donation. They got the chance to play soccer and netball with Nictus officials, which they described as a wonderful experience,” she said.

El-Mari Greyling, Nictus Furnishers manager said they had a lovely day with children and they were hoping to visit the centre again in the near future. “It was very nice to interact with children from the centre and they gave us a hell of a challenge in netball and soccer. The items we donated cost R8 000, which we believe is not enough. That is why we are planning to donate more goods to the centre in the near future,” she said.
