POLOKWANE – Capricorn High School (CHS) bid their matric learners farewell at the school’s matric prize-giving ceremony on Thursday morning.
The school showed their appreciation for the gr. 12 learners’ hard work in sport, academics and leadership.
Mashudu Neswiswi, audit manager in the office of the Auditor-General and a former CHS learner, was the guest speaker at this event and told learners to focus on their future.
“Tertiary education is very different from high school. You are adults now and responsible for every decision you make. At tertiary level no one checks your homework every day, or forces you to attend classes, it is all up to you.
“You hold your future in your own hands from now on and only you can decide if you going to succeed or not,” she said.
Lucas Chuene, school principal, wished the gr. 12s well. “Good luck with your exams. We know that you are going to make us proud. Good luck with your future plans. Make Capricorn proud wherever you’re going.”
