POLOKWANE – Pietersburg Comprehensive School’s gr. 7 learners had a lot of fun last Friday as they dressed up for Career Day.
The learners had to dress up according to the careers that they wanted to pursue after school.
Dr Morokolo Sathekge, a motivational speaker spoke to the gr. 7’s about subject choices when they reached high school. “Before you decide what you want to become, you must ask yourself what kind of a person you are and what do you enjoy or love doing.
“There is no point waking up everyday to go to work while you are doing something you do not enjoy.
When you get to high school, choose the subjects that will lead you to the career you want to get in to. Focus on your school work and on your strong points,” said Sathekge.
“Most importantly, choose your friends carefully. Friends play a major role in teenagers’ lives. They can influence you to do things that will make you lose your focus on school and on life.”
