POLOKWANE – Good Hope Primary School in Westenburg held an entrepreneurs day for gr. 7 learners on Friday to sharpen their entrepreneurial skills.
The event was part of the learners’ economic and management science (EMS) project.
The learners were divided into 11 groups under the leadership of a teacher per group, who was responsible for allocating marks to each group.
The learners were tested on their marketing and selling skills, which included managing an income, expenditure and profit.
School principal, Cindy Buys, said parents were very supportive in the initiative as some of the children had home cooked meals as part of the day.
“The money raised will go towards the gr. 7 farewell and the school,” Buys said.
