POLOKWANE – Mitchell House recently elected its leadership council for the last term of the year.
Four boys and four girls were elected based on evaluations of leadership skills throughout the first three terms and were voted by gr. 6 and gr. 7 learners.
They were also selected based on teacher recommendations. Tanweer Ghood, Mathaba Malesa, Danian Smit, Luly Tamayo-Isla, Dylan Lopes, Michael Muchopa, Angus Pratt and Yazdaan Tayob were selected for the leadership council.
Throughout the year, every gr. 7 learner has the opportunity to serve on three of the four councils: deportment council, assembly council, house and social responsibility council, and the media council. The learners who show the most promise as leaders are chosen as prefects and serve on all four councils in the final term.
