POLOKWANE – Gr. 12 Pepps College learners wrote the English home language examination on Monday, and Review asked them how they found it.
Keagan Paul thought the examination went well. “I went over previous examination papers in preparation for this one.”
Aniel Bezuidenhout felt the examination was long, but easy. “I love reading and English is my favourite subject. I read through the poetry that we had and studied the figures of speech.”
“This examination was better than the prelims,” said Lebo Tladi. She said she also read through the poems in preparation for the examination.
“It was a long and slightly difficult paper,” said Tumisho Mothiba.
Riyan Chetty also agreed the paper was long and a bit challenging. “I worked through my study books in preparation for the examination.”
Molobele Rampedi felt the paper was good, but said the unseen poetry section was horrible.
“I actually studied for the first time for English and it helped a lot. I think I did better because I studied.
The unseen poetry section was nice for Blessing Rapotu.
“I hardly prepared, but the paper was understandable. I loved the poetry.”
Ryan Musonza said the examination was pretty difficult.
“I prepared moderately for this paper.”
