Jungle Tots is an educational playgroup in Genl Kritzinger Street, Welgelegen, that caters for babies to six-year-olds and helps the children to learn while playing.
This playgroup stimulates children through interesting activities like water and mud play, play dough play, painting and an obstacle course to ensure optimal development and to help the little ones to start their primary school careers with confidence.
Eight members of staff are on duty at all times to oversee the children’s well being and development.
Jungle Tots emphasises a positive, safe environment where children can reach their full potential. “Our children learn through playing,” says Michelle van der Merwe, manager of Jungle Tots.
This innovative playgroup keeps all learning and playing groups small, so that each child can receive individual attention.
Jungle Tots also offers two development programmes, Moms and Babies and Moms and Tots, that were developed by physio and occupational therapists.
These programmes are offered to mothers who want to learn how to stimulate their children’s development.
